Since you’re bringing in logical fallacies…

I’m pretty sure all arguments about whether the Beatles sucked or not will employ logical fallacy, since a logical argument requires a standard for suckage or goodness that is established subjectively. “The Beatles suck because their work wasn’t technically complex” is entirely implausible unless your standard for music is technical skill, and not, say, the capacity to intellectually or emotionally impact large numbers of people using sound, which is a more common standard. It kind of works that way for all logical arguments.

Miles Davis said that Beatles were, just like all other rocke musicians apart from Hendrix, ignorant guys doing music for other ignorant guys, and no one could get anything from such a low-level music. I think he was too harsh (but he was harsh also on Oscar Peterson or Ornette Coleman, for example), but still he hit the nail on the head – Beatles sucked!
